Day 2 started with a shake out run to shake off the cobwebs of jetlag. The city is beautiful.
I hit up the Runner’s (Runnahs!) World pop up store first. I got one of the Tracksmith, “Monday’s are for Marathons” tanks. I especially liked the “Runnah’s World” on the back.
They had music going and Bart Yasso was there. He was so full of energy and excitement for Boston and all the runners. When I came back to the Runner’s World store the next day, he had just as much energy, if not more. If you haven’t read his book, “My Life on the Run” it is a must read. It is amazing to know that he has battled lyme’s disease for many years.
Of course I had to take a bib photo with Spike the Unicorn. I learned not to post full clear photos of your race bib before the race has taken place. Apparently, some people print out large copies of them to sneak in the race.
They let me take a peak at their big studio full of treadmills for their classes. It would be so cool to take on of their treadmill classes here. If you are in the Cambridge/Boston area, you should check out their classes.
We went to Cantina Italiana in the North End. The food was great and the company was even better. I was so happy to have my parents and John there finally!
