I can’t believe this is the 11th week of training. It feels like the training cycle just started. Becky G’s Break a Sweat has been a top favorite song this week.
Monday track workout: 1 mile warm up @ 9:10; 4 X 800 – 2:59/2:59/3:05/3:04 – 1 mile cool down @ 8:20. 6 miles total @ 7:41 average. Lift was bis/tris/chest and core. I also went to my active release doctor for my feet. Speed work seems to be a little tough on this old lady haha.
Wednesday – 10 miles tempo @ 7:16 avg & did a lower body lift after.
Since we went out of town the weekend, I moved my long run to Friday, & swimming to Thursday so I would have a very low impact day between the tempo and long run. It is still physically really hard for my joints and feet to recover this way, which was why I did two days of active release.
Friday evening we flew to Seattle to spend the weekend with friends.
