We made it through another week! I can’t thank you all enough for reading my previous post and all of the kind words of support.
My favorites this week are:
Gu Energy Chomps with NO Caffeine (Watermelon flavor): Ok – before you hate me for speaking blasphemy about caffeine – I have a good reason! I love the caffeinated gels and chomps for race day. On race day every single one I use will have caffeine in it. However, I do try to use some kind of intra-workout fuel at least once a week. If my run/workout is 14+ miles or over 2 hours, that means more than one packet of “stuff.” I like to come home after and have my coffee. I don’t really want to be having caffeinated intra-workout fuel and then come home and drink coffee. I’m not trying to make my heart explode here HAHA. The watermelon flavor is delicious too.
Verrazano bra from Oiselle: I really like this bra! It has the cute strappy thing going on, but it actually supportive when you are actually running. I have some other types of cute strappy sports bras, but I only wear them to brunch, yoga, or else wise lol. Never actually moving. I really like that this one is cute and does its job.
I bought this faux fur/velvet blanket from home goods and it is SO SOFT and awesome. I can’t keep Bennie The Dog away from it, and I don’t blame him. You can find a similar one here. It is the perfect thing to cuddle up in while you drink coffee in the morning.
Hudson Jeans ‘Collin’ Skinny Jeans: My legs have gotten nothing but leaner and smaller from lifting heavy and running. But I DO have a big quad muscle (which is a good thing)! I know a lot of women have the “it doesn’t fit my thighs when it fits my waist” issue with jeans. Either they are squeezing the life out of your legs and fit nicely around the waist/hips, or they are gapping at the back but baggy in the leg. I know. It is a struggle. These jeans are pricey, but they fit really well if you can relate to what I am talking about.
I really like the dark color and wash of these as well. Tip – the moment you buy a nice pair of jeans that are dark blue or black, flip them inside out and wash them ALONE with 1/3 cup of distilled white vinegar. It sets the color so they take much longer to fade (like years).
What are you loving this Friday!
