Friday is FINALLY here! I’m looking forward to the weekend. My plans are – first and foremost – The Final 20 Miler! Eek. I’m excited and nervous. After my run, brunch with friends and maybe investing in a new pair of running shoes. I’m running in the Saucony Mirage 5 right now. I like them a lot, but the netting in the toe is getting a hole 🙁
These are some of my favorites this week:
- Of course Nuttzo, I needed to restock since I go through it like water. My discount code is Kyle10 at their website if you want to try their flavors.
I love my Nuttzo hat 🙂 And John is pretty darn cute too.
1.When I was buying more Nuttzo, I found D’s Naturals Fluffbutter Vanilla Maple. The flavor is so tasty! Plus there is 11g protein in one serving.
2.Girt to Great: My dad gave me this book and I really enjoyed it. It is by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval. They talk about how hard work can really outshine talent in so many applications.
3.Beet Elite: I have talked about this product before, but I wanted to include it in my favorites this week because it has become a staple of my supplement/nutrition plan. Beets are very high in Nitric Oxide.
Excerpt from Beet Elite’s website (read more here): By helping the body improve muscle blood flow there is better delivery of fuel to support muscle contraction and removal of by-products of energy production such as lactic acid that can have an adverse effect on performance. During exercise, blood glucose is a major source of fuel for the muscle. N-O helps the body improve the delivery of glucose to the muscles through better blood flow but also increases glucose uptake by the muscle cell.
4. Salted Caramel Gu: This is my favorite flavor. It isn’t too sticky sweet, and I don’t get sick of it. I’m one of the very weird people out there who actually enjoys the gels, gus and chomps ha! But this flavor is really the best one.
5. Gu Chomps: I got these in a sample pack along with some Bonk Breaker chews. It is nice size for pockets. I got the black cherry flavor, which I really like. I really want to find the salted caramel apple flavor.
6. The Believe Training Journal: I have used the red one for the last year, so this year I decided to get the purple one. The format is really easy to use, and the tips inside are fun & interesting. I am not a big journal person, or someone who has ever really kept a diary. However for training, I do like having somewhere to write it down and look back.
Have a great weekend!
