Happy Friday frands! I got John & I a reservation at an awesome sushi spot for dinner tonight. I can’t wait.
I saw this post on Hungry Runner Girl’s blog and had to share. How cute is this couple?!
I ate lunch at Whole Foods yesterday outside in the 71 degree sun! It felt awesome. I got roasted chicken, a little potato wedge, a mini egg white omelette with feta and spinach, and some green beans. I didn’t eat much of the chicken so I was glad I had the egg whites for some protein.
And of course got a few other absolute necessities. I think John and I are starting not to like Sauvignon Blanc anymore. Lately we have been liking Pinto Grigio – maybe our “tastebuds are maturing.” Not my wallet though – both of these bottles are under $12 haha!
I listened to this GREAT podcast from NPR about bees and almonds yesterday. You can find it here.
Too cool. The podcast talked about the farmers learning all about bees, self pollinating trees, and other things to help our little winged friends. The popularity of almonds has skyrocketed over the last few years – almond butter, almond milk, almond snack packs, ect. The bees are the most perfect way to pollinate a tree, but it is hard to keep up with demand. They talked about synthetic pollen, that you basically just dump over a tree, but not surprisingly – it is not as good as the way nature does it.
You can get Maisie Jane’s on Amazon here. They are local to where I grew up, so I might be a little partial – but their almond butter is delicious!
I think this shirtdress is going to be a summer staple. It shows just the right amount of leg without being clingy and tight, so it still feels casual. P.S. – update on last night’s jean fiasco – I found two great pairs yesterday and will be sure to share them soon.
I am doing my long run today instead of Saturday. I did the same two weeks ago. If I am working from home on Friday, it lets me do the long run before the work day starts. It makes it really nice to have a little more time with Bennie and John on Saturday morning since our weeks have been hectic lately. Well, Bennie’s weeks have been just fine, thanks for asking. Although he is sick of me working on the computer so late every night. But there are seasons of everything in life – and this is a season of HUSTLE. And that’s a good thing in a lot of ways. Insert inspirational quote about balance here.
