I got my eyebrows done yesterday and I gotta say, it makes me feel like I have my life so much more together. I have thin eyebrows, and thicker eyebrows are really in these days, so I just have the waxing person clean them up and give me a good shape to fill in.
I use the Ka-Brow (I am shade 2 for reference) from Benefit to fill in and I’m a big fan. I really want to get microblading, just so I never have to worry about filling them and so that I feel that much more comfortable without makeup on…but that’s an expense for another day. I read about microblading on PaleOMG.com. Love her blog even though I don’t do crossfit or eat Paleo haha!
I’m not exaggerating about how good it tasted. It reminded me of Wolferman’s, which my parents sometimes get at Christmastime. If you are looking for a good hostess gift this holiday season I highly recommend.
It is funny how such a small thing as getting that English Muffin is such a big win for me in terms of eating “normally.” Although I would really consider myself a good eater most of the time, there are days when restrictive thoughts come into my head. When I want to just give up and stop trying. Especially because I only ran 3 miles that day. I ordered the salad first, and wanted that English Muffin so badly, but I didn’t get it. I got the salad with no peanuts, no dressing, so it was pretty much grilled chicken and lettuce. I was still hungry after I ate it, so I decided to honor that hunger and get the damn English Muffin. And I put butter on it. And it was awesome. And I felt energized and satiated. It is so worth it to keep practicing balance. I know there are those of you out there that read my blog that have struggled with disordered eating in the past too, so just know that you can do it!!! And it feels great.
Yesterday I got my favorite salad from Blue Barn. I justify the $18 expense by the sheer health oozing out of that bowl. I mean LOOK at it. How do they get the avocado at the perfect ripeness every time?
John gave me this supersoft henley of his. More accurately, he said he was getting rid of it, and it was mine if I wanted it. He knows I keep old sweatshirts and long sleeved shirts for throw aways when I go to races. There is just something about a big soft tee that is so awesome.
P.S. – Boyfriend SO not required to have this. I buy these shirts from Gap (wait until they are on sale for a 3 for $20 deal), soak them in a bucket with coarse Kosher salt overnight and wash. Works like a charm. How’s that for some female empowerment HA?!
