You can ask Bennie The Dog, “Do you want to go visit the hospital?” and he get SO excited. He loves seeing the patients and the doctors and nurses there. They are all pretty excited to see him. Which I completely understand. He particularly likes the lovely volunteer who sits at the visitor’s desk and feeds him treats once he’s made his rounds.
Easy peasy mid week dinner. Leftover sweet potato fries – half were Alexia from the freezer section. The other half was my own concoction – cut the sweet potato up, oven at 425, olive oil, cayenne, garlic powder, roast for 20 minutes each side. I also had turkey meatballs/mini meatloafs. Which is an old recipe I used to make all the time from Bodybuilding.com – you can find it here. This time, I used almond flour instead of quick oats because that is what I had. I also don’t put the celery or onion in them because I think its icky. Hahahaha. I’ll take my veggies on the side, thank you very much.
I got a pretty great sunrise yesterday morning. I hate that the sun gets up later and later, but this was pretty nice.
A friend sent me this video about humans vs. horses in running – pretty interesting! I won’t spoil it, but humans are pretty awesome endurance runners. As someone who showed horses for so many years of my life, this was fun to watch.
I had Sol Food with one of my besties for dinner yesterday. It feed my soul in more ways than one. Chicken thighs are so so tasty. And black beans, rice and garlic plantains. I prioritize eating the chicken and plantains over the other foods because I usually can’t finish it all.
What is a go to week night meal for you?
