This is how I feel going into Friday.
This week has flown by because I’ve been busy – which is a good thing! And I don’t feel sapped of energy at all times. Which is a beautiful thing.
I found this pizza yoga mat on Amazon the other day and it is the best ever. Since I am basically a yoga master now, I might have to get it. Although I don’t need more help craving pizza.
Speaking of pizza, I went to Blaze build your own pizza yesterday. I am so excited there is one near me now. The whole pizza was about 600 calories. I used their gluten free dough because it has less carbs than the regular, mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken and basil. So good.
I finally caught up on my photo books from the last 3 YEARS. I used to be really good and do one each January for the year before. But then I forgot one year, and then it was 2 years, then 3 years, then it felt overwhelming. But I looked back through my old photo books from 2012 and realized how much fun it is to have them. So I decided to get a LARGE glass of wine and just sit down and do it. I like the simple clean linen design from Snapfish. It comes really quickly too. Always a bonus because patience is not a thing I was blessed with.
This chapstick from Primally Pure smells so good I want to eat it. Their products don’t have any of the harmful aluminum and other stuff that comes in deodorant, lotions, ect. And they smell amazing. Some of their products do contain animal products (cage free, grass fed, kindly raised), but if you are vegan, make sure you check each one before you buy it.
I told you last week my new obsession with activated charcoal. Why is smearing black gunk on your face to clean it so much fun? I found this bar at Whole Foods. It has lavender in there too so it smells really good. John is super sensitive to smells so I notice the way beauty products smell way more now haha!
If these aren’t the perfect Valentine’s day shoes, I don’t know what is. Unless its these, which I also have. They are on SALE! Go get them! So comfy for poor running feet. I have decided I like wearing snazzy shoes because whenever you start a meeting, regardless of whether that meeting is with a male or female – they will usually make a comment about your bright, cheery shoes. And everyone likes a great pair of shoes, amirite?
Now that I’ve worked my way through Run Fast, Eat Slow (which, holy crap only costs $15 now! I can’t believe I paid $26 – actually I can totally believe that), I wanted a new cookbook. I picked up the Fed and Fit project after hearing Cassy Joy on a podcast with Juli from Paleomg. I loved her outlook and immediately wanted to check it out. Like most “lifestyle diets” I loved reading all the science and info behind it, and then picking and choosing the things I felt would work for me. So far, I have made the crispy garlic green bean recipe 3x a week. How have I ever eaten green beans another way?
Last thing I have to tell you about – the Parks Project clothing I accidentally found when looking at a dog boarding facility (which did NOT pass muster btw). Anyway, Bennie and I saw the cutest little store and we popped in and found these amazingly soft shirts and sweatshirts that support our National parks! I am way into that. I got John this Muir Woods t-shirt which I will obviously borrow to sleep in, and myself this sweatshirt. I got the hoodie version, which I didn’t find on the website, but I love the crew as well. Especially in the dark color (because black is the best color). They have a bunch of different parks and all very cool designs and super soft fabrics.
Anywho, post long run tomorrow morning – Bennie The Dog and I will be jetting off to Portland to meet up with the fam for some food, wine and lots of walking! I can’t wait!
I may be compensated through my affiliate links in this post, but all opinions are my own. This compensation helps with expenses to keep this blog up and running! (Except the park projects links of course – that is all for the parks!)
