November has had some beautiful weather so far.
I am so glad Runner’s World is running this article about hassarment while running. I know a lot of male runners know that it happens, but don’t understand the extent. I am very lucky in that I have never been in a situation where I was actually scared for my well being. That said, it is pretty much a given that I will be honked at or something will be said when I am out running. Especially in San Francisco.
You can read the article here. I don’t have the answers, but I think talking about more often will help make people more aware.
I tried my second Blue Apron Meal last night and John was over to be a tester. It was Vietnamese meatballs with sweet potato noodles.
1. The kit came with a container of rice flour for the meatballs. The recipe indicated 2 tbsps on the front of the card, however on the back of the card, where the actual instructions are spelled out, it didn’t indicate an amount. All the other ingredients I have used were premeasured and you were only sent as much as needed. However when I dumped out the container, I could tell right away it was way more flour than 2 tbsps.
2. The recipe said you should be able to make 14-16 meatballs. Unlike the over abundant amount of wonton filling from last night, I could barely make 12 meatballs.
Other than that though, it was good overall. John liked it a lot and the portion size was actually perfect for us both. I don’t think the wontons from last night would have been enough for us both. It was a creative meal that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own.
