This last couple days has felt like a whirlwind in the best way possible. As I mentioned in my weekly recap, we ended up on a red eye flight back from Alaska. Upon landing in San Francisco at 9:00am, we went back to John’s house, I got us food while he re-packed, then we drove to my house and I re-packed, and then we went to Mendocino where my parents had rented a house with Bennie.
The next morning, I went for a run while the sun came up along the ocean and it was pretty breathtaking.
The wine was pretty good, but the views topped.
After the winery, next up was Glass Beach. It was created years ago buy trash being dumped on the beach. After years of being in the ocean, the glass is smooth and soft.
The next morning, my mom, dad and I went on a hike to a nearby lighthouse. Two years ago, I came to Mendocino with them and could barely walk to the lighthouse from the parking lot due to a bad case of runner’s knee. Very grateful that was not the case this time.
Tomorrow I’m off on another trip – this time to a much warmer climate (Phoenix) for work.
P.S. – I posted the photo below holding a purse that a ton of you asked about. Here is the link.
P.P.S. – This is a very interesting article about running and what it does to your brain.
