Does anyone else’s dog sleep like a human? When I wake up and roll over in the morning, this is literally my view and I could not love it any more. How does he know to put his head on the pillow? And hook his little arms over the covers? Should I worry that I sound pathetic admitting on the internet that I sleep alone with my dog? How dare you ask such a thing! Anyone would be lucky to sleep with this dog!
I finally convinced myself to the beaded tassel earrings I’ve seen everyone else wearing and I’m obsessed. I didn’t think I could pull them off, but I totally can. I always put myself in a box of “I can’t wear that” or “that’s not what I do,” but it is good to get out of your box and try new things! Even if those new things are earrings. Baby steps people.
I went to see Krystle at Point Practice this week. My right calf is always so tight, and it makes the tendons in my foot tight, and I may have bruised myself foam rolling which you can kind of see in the photo below. Anyway, cranky right side. She is awesome if you live in the Bay Area. Dry needling is something I am hearing about often lately. A lot of professional runners are doing it, and I asked her what is different about that from acupuncture. Come to find, dry needling is, in basic practice, the same thing. However the practitioner doesn’t need to go to school for as long. An acupuncturist goes to a 4 year master’s program. Good to know and food for thought – always do your research when getting treatments. Or just do what I do and ask someone who knows what they are talking about to tell you the answers.
With summer coming into full effect, that means the fog is extra dense in the city. The fog in San Francisco is personified – named “Karl.” That’s right, with a K. When I go to visit John, or in the evenings in Marin, it gets down to low 60s. I know, all you peeps in the hot lands are playing the tiniest violin for me. Anyway, I am wearing these two light sweatshirts from Athleta nonstop. I know, I finally had to give up wearing my Boston jacket when it is 75 degrees out. But I still need a little something to keep me warm. Plus, if I’m in a hot place, that just means the AC is always cranked in every establishment you go to. So I always have a sweater of some kind. This is my justification for owning 100000 of them. (Left/Right)
I am lucky enough to work from home most Fridays, so these sweaters are being less worn and more lived in from Friday afternoon on. Don’t judge me. That and my Birkenstocks. I forgot how great of shoe Birkenstocks are. They are supportive and so comfy. I remember being a kid and my dad would keep getting the same pair of Birks re-soled. They last that long (not that my dad is old)!
Lastly, for those that have asked, yes – I am LOVING the new phone pocket bra from Lululemon. I believe its real name is the “Pace Perfect Bra.” I’ve bought one in each color because I never want to run in not that bra again.
Happy Friday you filthy animals!
