These are my FAVORITE side to make. You can make these with a regular russet potato, which are NOT bad for you! However, I like the taste of sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are a little lower in calories and pack more antioxidants and iron, which is great.
Here is all you need to do:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
2. Cut up the sweet potato in relatively even slices. It is helpful to have them in similar sizes so that they all cook at the same rate.
3. Spread them out on a cookie sheet with foil. Spray pam on the cookie sheet and cover with spices. In keeping with the heart healthy theme – I like Flavor God. You can check them out here.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes and flip them over. Bake another 15-20. Keep an eye on those last 5 minutes. They can make or break the fries – and by that I mean burn the s**t out of them HA!
