Christmas is almost here!!! I can’t believe it. I took the week off running again, but did add in cardio to keep my endurance up for when I do start running. I have a couple races planned in January, so I want to be ready for those. I am also lifting as heavy as I can and trying to build up my lower body strength while I’m not marathon training. It is harder to lift heavy when your legs need to be recovered for a long run, or are STILL recovering from a long run.
- Monday: 30 mins elliptical & chest/shoulders
- Tuesday: 60 mins elliptical intervals (10 on/2 off) & biceps/triceps – saw chiropractor
- Wednesday: 25 mins elliptical intervals (10 on/2 off), 25 mins bike, legs & saw ART doc
- Thursday: 20 mins row, 20 mins elliptical, 20 mins bike & glutes
- Friday: 30 mins step mill, 15 mins elliptical & back/abs
- Saturday: 6 miles @ 7:57 average at Blackie’s pasture – one of my favorite running spots in Marin.
- Sunday: rest
I also had a couple of Christmas parties to go to this week for work. I am heading to Costa Rica for Christmas with my boyfriend – so I am wrapping up for that too!
The first photo is of the cupcakes I took around to drop off to the real estate agents I work with. There were FIVE boxes of them in my car. At first it smelled so so good, but by the end I didn’t even want one because the sugary smell was too strong. The other two photos are what I wore the parties.
Friday night I was so ready for a quiet, relaxing night at home.
Saturday, after my run, I just did things around the house and ran errands since I will be out of town. I also experimented with making cauli-oats. They are just like Zoats (made with shredded zucchini), but made with frozen cauliflower instead. I like them much better than Zoats because you can’t take the cauliflower at all. I’ll try to post a recipe later this week.
Sunday morning, John and I went to see the new Star Wars. He is a big fan, so he was excited. I had never seen the movies as a kid – so I did some homework and watching ALL SIX before we went. I absolutely loved the movie!
The fire alarm went off during the previews. So we were all shuffled outside to wait in the drizzling rain while the fire department came and cleared the theater. It ended up working out fine though. After the movie, we went to a Jewish deli for lunch. I had half a corned beef sandwich. So good! On the way home from lunch, John said he wanted something sweet, so we tried out an Acai Bowl from Basik cafe on Polk. I was full from the sandwich, so I didn’t eat a lot of it, but it was really good! I would definitely go back and get it again.
Did you see the new Star Wars?
What is your favorite brunch food?
Merry almost Christmas!!
