I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I visited my parents in Chico for the long weekend. I will head back home tomorrow. I don’t visit my hometown that often – mostly because my folks enjoy coming to the Bay Area, where I live. It was great to get to spend some time with them in Chico.
I am starting to get excited and nervous for the California International Marathon next weekend. It was great to relax and let myself be distracted from thinking about it.
I got home (I still call my parent’s house home, even though I call my home the same thing haha!) in time for dinner on Wednesday. We went to The Raw Bar downtown. It is one of my favorite sushi spots. If you are ever in Chico – definitely go check it out!
Thursday morning we woke up and went to my parent’s gym. It is a great gym and fun to go somewhere different than normal. I’ll talk more about my work outs in a different post.
After the gym, we got cleaned up and headed to my Grandma’s house where we were going to eat. My dad started prepping the turkey and my mom and grandma worked on sides. The food was so so good!
I don’t like pie – so I opted for a glass of wine instead after dinner ha! We went for a walk with my cousins and dog and hung out for a little while catching up with family.
Evan & Alexa are 8 – and have TONS of energy. Just out of the frame in this photo is Bennie, eating the cracker out of Alexa’s hand. Hahahaha.
The fam! Love them.
We skipped the Black Friday madness this year. Friday we had more family over for salad & pizza. Saturday morning we went to the farmer’s market to get salmon and green beans for dinner.
I hope everyone had a great time with family and friends this weekend!
With love & thankfulness,
