This past weekend in Palm Springs with John’s family was a blast. His grandma turned 80 and she is so much fun.
John has two sisters. One has a new baby boy, who is about the cutest little human I’ve ever seen, and his youngest sister is getting married and asked me to be a bridesmaid!!! I am so honored and excited!
I usually change from flats to heels for my meetings throughout the day. Gotta take good care of these feet! So earlier this week, I changed from my flats to my heels, and went in and had my meeting. When I came back to my car after the meeting, there was one of my shoes, sitting on the ground haha! Thankfully no one noticed it or decided to move it!
When I came home from my trip on Sunday night, Bennie The Dog wasn’t acting quite his usual self. My good friend who had been housesitting for me said she had noticed that as well. Then I noticed some blood on my white bedding. I figured out he had an abscess & took him to the vet right away. (#helicopterdogmom) The vet was able to fix up the abscess, but now he needs to leave it alone (no licking it) so it can heal. They gave me a cone for him to wear and he is NOT having it. He can take it off in record time.
Luckily, he has been a good patient and is leaving his little wound alone. I told John that Bennie is a much better patient than him haha! Bennie is probably a better patient than I am too, but we won’t tell John that.
It has been a busy week so far, so I haven’t had too much time to stress about running less and am embracing the taper. My body is ready for some rest and I’m good with that.
Bennie says he hopes your week is going great and to just sit down and take a load off if you feel like it.
