This sweet doggy didn’t want me to leave. He is probably the only one that I’d skip a run for ha! But not this time.
Friday was a 2000 meter swim. I did a ladder workout again 100/200/300/400/400/300/200/100. On the first 300 I used sculling paddles and a pull buoy. One the first 400 I used fins. Those wear out my quads so much!
Saturday was a shake out run with 5 x 30 second pick ups before my half marathon on Sunday.
Sunday was the half marathon. I ran 3 easy warm up miles at 9:35 average. Then raced 13.1 at 7:57 average (13.22 at 7:53 average according to Garmin). Followed by a 2.1 mile cool down at 10:25 average.
That ends the week at 41.2 miles. As I mentioned on Instagram, I found out that my thyroid is moving a little slowly. As I said, it would certainly not BQ right now haha! I will talk more about that later, but I am so grateful to have a great support system and I’m hopefully on the road to having a good handle on it.
