Happy Hump day! Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away?
I haven’t talked a ton about Arete on here, but I am a leader of the San Francisco Peninsula Arete Running Club. Arete is an intermediate and advanced women’s running group.
I would have slogged through so many miles alone without these women. They truly are the best. Everyone is awesome, and everyone is dedicated to running their best and balancing that with the rest of life. We have our season launch in February and I am so excited!
Sometimes I just gotta call Bennie on the Furbo to check on him.
John and I tried State Bird Provisions for the first time last night. It is really hard to get a reservation for, but I happened to check and snag one at 5:30 on a random Tuesday night.
It is tapas and many of them are served dim sum style. This little cup was basically an omelette, but much fancier lol.
The green on this toast isn’t avocado – its smashed broccoli! Not what I was expecting, but still really good.
Just goes to show that no matter how fancy the restaurant, everyone like potato chips – although these were technically parsnips.
We did try the State Bird – since that is what the restaurant is called. The State Bird of California is the quail. It wasn’t my favorite.
This however, I could have eaten 54464335 of these. Garlic bread knot with fresh burrata cheese on top. Holy yum.
When we came home my mom & dad had sent us some homemade trail mix and fudge. SO GOOD! Thanks mom & dad!
And I had the cutest care package from CVS. I love CVS and can always spend way too much money there on all the good snacks and beauty products.
Have you seen Cardi B’s carpool Karaoke episode? If not, stop everything you are doing and watch him try to teach her how to drive.
PS – my photos are still turning sideways – should be fixed soon!
