The first week of Boston qualifying is here! It is exciting, but all nerve wracking and frustrating, because my qualifying time from last year means I have to wait until next Monday. Because I didn’t beat my qualifying time by a full 5 minutes – I was 51 seconds short. Patience is not my strong suit. Trust me, I am grateful to have the opportunity to qualify at all. But I will definitely be motivated to avoid an extra 51 seconds this year to avoid this week of hell waiting. Someone remind me that in last 10k of my next marathon, okay? Oh maybe don’t, because I might punch you in that moment HA!
John and I are mostly done with the moving in process. He recently set up all of his speakers and AV stuff in the living room. My request was that he “make the wires look pretty.” He did an AMAZING job of covering up all the wires. After he was completely finished, he realized there was one wire still out and there wasn’t enough slack to hide it. I really don’t even notice it, but drives him crazy, which I understand. When you put a ton of work into a project to make it perfect, it so aggravating when ONE piece isn’t finished! But I told him we should leave it and decorated it with an Indiana Jones action figure he had. Hahahaha.
Believe it or not, I think it is much funnier than he does.
I was running my normal path the other day and stumbled upon this gem of a trail! How many times have run this path with out going down this little trail? A lot! Sometimes I just have to face palm at what I miss because I don’t get out of my routine.
Although, in my defense, routine is great for a reason. For a few reasons, actually. But, case in point – it is good to switch things up too.
This is what a fridge clean out looks like haha. Brussel sprouts don’t exactly pair perfectly with tacos, but I needed to get rid of some things before they went bad.
Do you ever find yourself stumbling upon something that has been RIGHT there all along?
What is your most random fridge clean out?
