My mom’s Google photos put together this fun pano of the race last weekend! I also like how the Google photo app reminds you of photos you took 1, 2, 5 ect years ago. It’s fun to look back at memories, even if they are just pictures of my food or random Bennie selfies.
I got the opportunity to try the new Gu Birthday Cake flavor and it is SO good. It tastes like straight up funfetti frosting. I definitely would not recommend having four of them in a row for a marathon. Of course, I wouldn’t recommend that with ANY flavor of gel.
We’ve been living off the Run Fast Eat Slow Wild Rice Salad & rotisserie chicken this week for lunches. You can eat it cold, it travels well, and the longer it sits in the fridge, the better it gets.
Another favorite this week has been pulled pork adobo in the instant pot. I just cut up a pork shoulder into chunks, put a big bottle of adobo enchilada sauce and set it to cook for 50 minutes.
Things that happen when you live with a boy. Or a toddler, I would imagine…
If you haven’t had Szechuan green beans, you need them in your life now. I kind of want to try to make them.
I bought this jacket after Juli from Paleomg.com recommended it, and I’ve worn it every day this week.
I also scored this jacket from the Columbia employee store and it was just in time because it DUMPED rain this week. Everyone who raced at the Victory Half Marathon got a pass to shop there which was pretty cool!
I have my first 20 miles on deck tomorrow and I’m really excited! I am going back to my old hilly route and have lots of good podcasts to keep me company. And there will definitely be birthday cake Gu involved.
