Happy Friday friends! Something really horrifying happened yesterday. I was working in my office and Bennie was barking and pawing at something in the bedroom (across the hall). I went in to look and it was HUGE BUG. It for sure laid eggs in my brain last night. So it was nice knowing you all.
I am normally the spider killer in our household, but I made John kill this bug. Because this bug had its own zip code. Bennie was very distraught that he did not get to kill the bug, however. He was still looking for it. He is just like Lassie, alerting me to the egg laying dangerbug. What a hero. John too, of course.
Side bar: the bug came out of the curtains, so I’ll need to burn them now. It’s the only logical response. Science.
Anyway, until my brain becomes bug mush, I shall share my favorites with you for this week.
We saw Deadpool 2 last night, which was hilariously funny. A little gross, but mostly very very funny.
This article from the Wall Street Journal about caddies and how hard their job is.
Fun sequin shoes! I will be wearing them to work with a basic black outfit. The leopard ones I’ll wear with everything, because leopard print is a neutral in my book. I really like that the leopard ones are made out of pony or calf hair like a lot of animal print shoes. The only sad part is that although they are comfortable shoes, they did rip my heels up the first time I wore them. So now the backs of my heels are very tender.
These sweatpants from Alo Yoga. These are the holy grail of sweatpants. OMG. So good. They are so soft and comfy. You need them. They are mid rise but not high rise so its not all bunchy and weird when you wear baggy t-shirts. They are close fitting without being tight. Everything is just right. The goldilocks of sweats. I got a small.
This jacket is from Cotopaxi and I may have already ordered another color. The sizing is unisex, so it will be a bit tight in the hips for women, but you also kind of need it to be so that it won’t fall down over your butt while running. I got my normal size. Love it so much!
Tarte recently had a sale of 6 full sized products + bag for $60. I didn’t really need another make up bag, but this one is really cute. I love all Tarte’s products, so this was a fun buy.
The sweetest little unicorn earrings! My friend Stephanie had these on when she PR-ed in Boston. In THAT weather. I’m not asking any questions – magic. Around the Boston marathon, the silver ones were on sale for $26.20 – of course I wanted the gold ones, which were not on sale. Hahaha #typical.
I am doing 12 miles with the Arete girls this weekend and I can’t wait! This is the first year in quite a while that I’m not doing Bay To Breakers. While I am sad to miss it, since John moved in with me, it is not as easy to do a race in the city. I can’t just roll out of bed and Uber to the start line and then Uber home from the finish line while having bagels simultaneously delivered to the apartment (yes, I did this regularly). Now you gotta wake up an extra hour early, drive & park. I figure I will save that effort for the races I really want to do.
I will probably not watch the Royal wedding, although I do like to see the dresses people wore, but those will all surface on the internet. Otherwise I’m not particularly interested.
What miles (or rest) do you have going on?
