Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and have something fun planned this weekend. Or maybe nothing planned. Sometimes that’s the best thing.
Last night I was cleaning up our little porch area, and decided this one plant had gotten out of control. I did not choose to do what a sane person would do – text the lovely man who comes to take care of our little yard to please trim it the next time he was here. Nope – I got out the clippers and went nuts. And it escalated quickly lol. BUT it felt great and I liked the way it looked after. So I’m calling it a win.
In fast I was so happy with everything being so nice and clean after, I decided I had to have a glass of wine on the porch with my pup. For those of you living in places with real summer – I know, fire & a blanket seems like a little much. But as soon as the sun starts going down here, you need them! At least, Bennie and I need them.
My aunt gifted me some Le Labo perfumes for my birthday a while back – and I was in San Francisco yesterday for work and saw an actual store front for them. They had a scent there that they don’t sell online, and I really liked it! I looked it up on line later and turns out it has a cult following lol. So I’m not that special. You can find it at Nordstrom (and holy moly it is expensive) – but I kept smelling it all day long, which I was a big fan of. Most perfumes I put on and then never smell again.
I have been resisting buying a pair of Rothy’s for a while. I’ve been told they really don’t have any support – which is true. But after getting blisters from another crappy pair of flats for the 8656854 time, and after yet another friend saying how much they loved them, I decided it was time. I ordered a pair of “The Point” (I got the color Big Cat & you need to order 1/2 size up) and “The Loafer” (in camo) and I’m also a fan now. They are really comfortable and breathable. And you can put them in the washing machine. The price tag feels steep for a shoe made from recycled water bottles, but what isn’t expensive anymore lol?
I do agree that they don’t have a ton of support, but so far that hasn’t bothered my feet. I also like these flats for work (pictured below) – and they have little thicker sole.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is always crazy with everyone trying to buy the same 5 things at once, and it sells out and the website crashes lol. This year, I was online right when it opened, found the things I wanted, and got them ordered no problem. I thought I’d escaped! But then Nordstrom started cancelling the items I’d ordered. I figured it was actually kind of a blessing in disguise – its not like I needed to be spending money on clothes anyway. But the one thing I was sad I had missed was this leopard cardigan. I ended up finding it on Poshmark, and Nordstrom does have a few sizes left at full price at the moment. I ordered a size down and I am so happy I found it! It’s super soft and comfy, and I think I’ll wear it with a lot.
Ok – I’m off to run! I hope you have a great weekend!
