This week flew by and all of the sudden we are headed to Alaska today! As I mentioned, we had Christmas with my mom and dad last weekend. They got me this AMAZING blender/food processor and I can’t get enough. It is a normal blender, but also has a smoothie attachment and food processor.
I like to try and have a green smoothie a couple of times a week at least, if not more. Plus, now I can try making the Don’t Get Beet hummus from Run Fast, Eat Slow.
My skin gets really dry in the winter, and I know that is not going to be helped by going to 20 degrees, so I got this really gentle face wash. It is helping not strip my skin every time I use it.
As for moisturizer, this stuff has the perfect name, “When hope is not enough.” Once my skin gets dry, it peels and flakes and doesn’t want to be happy. This is a good mix of thick, hydrating cream, but not too oily.
I bought these adjustable dumbbells years and years ago, but they have really come in handy this winter. I found similar ones here and here. The ones I have can be 5, 10, 15 or 20lbs and you can get a lot accomplished with them.
Lastly, I will be running in some rain through the winter and spring here in California, (we hope at least, no more drought). The storm shelter jacket from Asics is going to be my saving grace.
