I took my new kicks for a very short test run the other day! They were just as good as I remembered. I love the red.
On Wednesday my usual running path was blocked off, so I had to go a different direction. I am SO grateful I did because I found a new path that I am embarrassed that I’ve been missing this whole time! It was a good reminder not to just run the same route every day. It was a beautiful day, perfect weather, and I couldn’t help myself from running a bit too fast at the end of my easy miles!
I’ve been living in this quarter zip sweatshirt from Portland Gear this week. Anyone else get on a kick with sweatshirts and wear them like everyday for a month straight? I mean I’ve washed it – but you know.

I’ve been sneaking my swimming distance up a little bit each week. The thing that has helped me do this the most has been ladders and using tools for drills.
- Warm up: 500 breaststroke, 500 easy pull
- Ladder: 100 free, 200 free, 300 pull, 400 kick, 500 breaststroke, 600 free, 500 breaststroke, 400 pull, 300 kick, 200 free, 100 breaststroke
- 4600 yards!
Do you wear one sweatshirt for a month straight?
Have you ever stumbled across a new running path on accident?
