My little buddy and I got to visit the Humane Society’s Summer Camp this week. He taught the campers how to safely approach a dog. Luckily he was very forgiving of those campers that got a little over excited 🙂 But it was still really fun to be a part of it. He and I were both exhausted after spending an hour with 50 kiddos. Kudos to all the teachers out there.
When I got gum surgery my dentist tried to put the IV in my right arm and that completely backfired. It was weird because it felt fine for the first few days after the surgery – and then about week later I got this very colorful bruise and it was super sore.
Quest nutrition was nice enough to send me some samples of their new tortilla chips. They are so good! I like the chili lime flavor better than the loaded taco flavor, but both are still really good!
I ended up shifting my quality workout a day forward. I wanted to run it on a specific route to get some rolling hills, and I’m not comfortable doing that in the dark, even really the early morning light. So I shifted it a day forward at the last minute based on my work schedule. What that did mean was that I had to do it right after leg day (squats, deadlifts, etc). OW. My legs felt like bricks lol. I worked from my boots for a while later in the day.
When Bennie knows its sunny outside and he sees you come downstairs, he runs over to our sliding glass down and stands with his head pressed right into the glass and his whole body pointing outside lol. Then he’ll dance over to wherever you are standing and run back to the glass door once he has your attention. Obviously it works on my every time lol.
This lunch has been on repeat this week because I’ve been working from home. Daily Harvest makes these “harvest bowls” and I added a chicken sausage & an egg. They are really good!
