After Wednesday night’s track workout and photo shoot, I didn’t get home until about 10:30pm. Generally, this Cinderella’s carriage has turned into a pumpkin long before then. So I decided to sleep a bit and sneak my run in at lunch. I only had morning meetings, so didn’t have to deal with redoing my hair and make up.
Turns out, I don’t even need to lift weights given the amount of bags I carry! I kid, I kid. You should lift weights for real. But still – I should get some credit for the bag carrying. That’s functional fitness.
Bennie and I went to a rehabilitation hospital this week to visit sick patients who need long term care. I thought it was so funny how all the patients wanted their photos taken with Bennie. I totally get it. Good thing he is so photogenic.
So if you aren’t a Harry Potter fan – then what are you even doing with your life? If you are, then you know that when Harry puts on the invisibility cloak, he feels super brave and like he can do anything. My Boston stuff is becoming my invisibility cloak! Not because it makes me feel invisible. But it gives me a little extra confidence. It makes me remember that one time when I did really hard things to achieve my goals.
How can you not feel a little more confident when you are reminded that you beasted a marathon to get to Boston, then completed another 26.2 journey to the finish line.
I went to the Trial in Motion film festival that was playing last night. It was held at a pretty cool venue. The theater was where a lot of the modeling and sound mixing for various Star Wars movies where filmed. Especially appropriate given the showing was on May the Fourth.
Many of the people at the showing are racing the Miwok 100k this weekend. It reminded me of the Boston documentary showing at Boston. It is kind of fun to have something to make you feel extra inspired right before a big race.
