Monday 8/12: Weights (lower body) & 5.01 miles easy at 9:14 avg
Tuesday 8/13: Weights (upper body) 5.05 miles easy at 9:11 avg
Wednesday 8/14: 2 miles warm up, 2 x 12 mins – first at 7:10-15, second at 7:00-05 – with 3 mins very easy jog rest, 2 mile cool down. Actual paces were 7:15 and 7:05 and I felt out of shape! Total of 8.01 miles at 8:32 avg
Thursday 8/15: 7.38 mile loop on Yolanda trail with my friend Anna at 9:33 avg.
Friday 8/16: upper body & 5.01 miles easy at 9:18 avg.
Saturday 8/17: 14 mile long run, final 4 miles gradually cutting down to finish final half mile at 5k effort. The route I did had about 900 ft elevation gain – so my last 4 weren’t as speedy pace-wise, but they were definitely cutting down effort-wise: 8:19/7:59/7:47/7:30.
Sunday 8/18: 45 min Peloton class
My parents came to visit for the weekend (and to celebrate my birthday with me). We went wine tasting and had so much fun hanging out.
