Happy Wednesday! I love started my work week on a Wednesday, don’t you? I took yesterday off because we were traveling back from Oregon. I’ll recap the race and the rest of our trip in the next couple days.
Monday 8/26: 6 miles easy
Tuesday 8/27: 6 miles easy & I got to go ride
Wednesday 8/28: 2 miles warm up, 4 miles of rolling hills – surge the uphills at 10k effort & marathon effort on the downhills, 2 miles cool down.
Thursday 8/29: 6 miles easy in Portland. It was as close as you can get to 100% humidity without actually raining – although it did rain for about 3 minutes. It was not the most fun weather to run in, but it did make for a cool sky.
Friday 8/30: 5 miles easy in Portland – much less humid on this day, but still pretty sticky.
Saturday 8/31: Day off & we drove from Portland to wine country to pick up my bib.
Sunday 9/1: jogged a little warm up & 13.1 race in 1:36:32. Not a PR, but a good confidence boost & exactly what I needed after the SF half. I also won 2nd place in my age group, so that was really exciting!
45 miles for the week & 159 miles in September.
